I just LOVE mixing patterns and how you can completely not match but yet look so put together!
I love the idea of mixing patterns! Especially mixing stripes and paid! So fun! Also how fun are these glossy red rain boots?! What’s special to me about these red Hunters is that Jonathan surprised with them last Christmas! So they remind me of Christmas morning 🙂
I wanted to share a special blog post today since we had a crazy night last night as a nation! Just wow is all I’ve got to say! (Also love how my outfit is RED, WHITE, + BLUE, very fitting!!) I wanted to talk about dreams today! Maybe one of my readers out there has a dream of running for President one day! 🙂
I have been getting lots of emails from ladies with dreams of becoming a lifestyle blogger and they all ask me the same thing, what is my best advice for girls who want to pursue their dreams of blogging. So I wanted to do a post for them and for anyone else who is wanting to pursue a big dream.
How I see it, Life is a precious gift from God. We don’t know when our last day on earth will be. Be BRAVE with your life! Life is BEAUTIFUL. I knew I wanted to blog for a very long time but I was scared & didn’t want to a take the leap of faith because what if I failed? I think that’s what is holding back a lot of us, the fear of failure. But if you are miserable doing what you are doing now and you have a big dream in your heart that is pulling at you everyday. DO IT! Do not let fear control your life. Joshua 1:9 says, ” Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
PRAY! Pray and ask God if this is something that you should pursue. ASK! Ask your close friends and family what they think about your dream. They know you and know whats in your heart! My biggest piece of advice is to just DO IT! Do not let fear drive you away, because like I said earlier life is too short to be miserable or wonder “what if?” your whole life. Make sure you have a good support system! For me my husband has been my rock during this work transition. He believes in me, but more importantly he keeps up with me and challenges me daily to stay motivated! Another thing I want to mention is that is not easy to pursue your dream. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. It takes lots of time, work and energy every single day! Don’t stop until you’re proud!
So there it is, my piece of advice & motivation for you to live out your dreams!
